Working with Guardian Labs we developed 2 animations as part of their new content series. Looking at how the existing financial lifecycle is becoming irrelevant to Rising Metropolitans.
There used to be a “normal” financial lifecycle. You got a job or a graduate loan, saved up to get married, got a mortgage to buy a house and then got a pension to enjoy it all when you retired.
However if you’re 25 years old and living in a city you feel you can’t buy a house, that there’s not much point saving and as for a pension. Well, why would you get a pension when you’re too busy coping with the present to worry about the future?
Normal doesn’t really exist anymore.
We wanted to inspire Rising Metropolitans and show how it’s not all a negative experience by telling the stories of the “New Normal”. People like them who are adjusting to the new financial reality by finding progressive, ingenious ways to use their money to live the life they want.
