For Universal Childrens Day we were honoured to be asked to work on this powerful and emotive subject. Looking at the vulnerabilities of children in situations of emergency, whether it be conflict or natural disaster. The animation looks at the support and humanitarian aid ECHO provides, including food assistance, water, shelter, healthcare, education and lots more.
In situations of emergency, children are among the most affected population groups. Every day, thousands of children are separated from their families and left alone without protection. They are also exposed to attacks, sexual exploitation, forced labour and early marriage, abused and recruitment by armed groups, among other things. Many are deprived from their most basic needs, such as shelter, health care, food or access to education.
