INTERACTIVE – CHILD LABOUR APP

We were asked to design and write the content for another of ILO’s Infostories (Child Labour App). This issue looks at Child Labour across the globe and explores where it is happening, why and what changes are being made to get children out of child labour and into education. Global numbers have declined by a third since 2000, from 246 million to 168 million children working in child labour. More than half of them, 85 million, are in hazardous work.
The ILO presented us with a vast amount of data and information which we sifted through and collated into the main topics, writing the content for this interactive magazine. Not only did we develop the content we also designed the whole magazine to work intuitively with multiple layers of information for those who wanted to know more. Illustrations, maps and interactive D3’s make the complex data easily accessible and quick to understand.
